In my final project, I decided to continue exploring the theme of building, but in a different way than I did in my recent works, where I approached building from a single viewpoint. The current work focuses on a free-standing sculpture at the center of the space. The project emphasizes the move from the model to the object. The displayed work is like a rickety structure that changes and becomes stable. It is a direct continuation of its model, which I built on a different scale from thin pieces of wood joined with an iron cord. For the sculpture, I replaced these flimsy materials with constructive details made of solid wood and connected with strong joints. The playfulness and changes I made during construction give the sculptured object a unique character. The structure itself is based on the many viewpoints the object gathers within it.
This work connects thoughts and feelings, abstract and tangible, and model and object.
