White Holes, 2023

In my drawings I aim at creating a place that will contain multitude movements and situations. While doing so I question our ability to embrace both inner and artistic qualities of eternity.

The work process begins with darkening the paper and continues through a never ending dialogue of charcoal and white holes.

A White Hole, a hypothetical celestial body, projects material and energy to its surroundings. It is suggested as a plausible explanation of the Big Bang and the creation of new universes. Often, White Holes represent portholes to parallel universes, time and space.

This serie of drawings is divided into sets of constellations with each constellation consisting of several drawings, all created simultaneously. By switching their position with one another and deconstructing their assembly time and again, I kept challenging the composition’s premise, explore the encounters and relationships between its elements, and sought to increase our ability to experience a sense of “wholeness” despite the endless complexity entailed all around us.
